"Blue Skies Through Merrie Ellen's Sails" is the title of the photo above.  The framed 24x32 print is now on exhibit in Port Ludlow, in the conference room of Karen Best's Coldwell Banker Real Estate.  Depicted is our lovely autumn sky over Port Townsend Bay, as seen from the deck of the traditional wood gaff-rigged schooner "Merrie Ellen" owned by Captain John & Jill Holbert of Brinnon, Washington.  Many other images of this lovely ship are also available in Aloft Images' gallery in Port Townsend.  Come see!

This accredited high school class teaches team work, collaboration, independent learning, tool use, maintenance, craftsmanship, pride, and so much more, through the medium of boat building.  Each year the students and the mentors complete one boat, start another, and repair another.  These boats are put into service for the Voyagers class that goes out on the water to explore, weekly, culminating in a week-long voyage of discovery.  And so much more...
